CHAMPLAIN SENIOR CENTER RESOURCES

A great connection for Vermont's Senior Citizens

The Champlain Senior Center relies on the many local community services and government agencies including:

BenefitsCheckup.org helps thousands of people every day to find programs for seniors that may pay for some of their costs of prescription drugs, health care, utilities, and other essential items or services. It's simple. It's fast. It's free. And it's confidential.

Champlain Valley Agency on Aging, Inc. (CVAA) connects older people with the services they need to live independently for as long as possible.

Chittenden Country Transportation Authority (CCTA) offers fixed route, demand response, commuter shuttles, and ADA and para-transit services in Burlington, South Burlington, Shelburne, Colchester, Winooski, Williston, and Essex Junction.

Fletcher Allen Health Care (FAHC)

Medicare

Social Security Administration

Special Services Transportation Agency (SSTA)

The National Council on the Aging

The United Way of Chittenden County is the only local organization to take a bird’s-eye view of the human service needs of our community. If it requires fundraising, rallying volunteers, or just plain getting people to work together, that’s what they do.

U.S. Administration on Aging

U.S. House of Representatives

U.S. Senate

Vermont Public Transportation Association mission is to improve mobility of people in Vermont by increasing awareness of public transportation benefits and needs through education and advocacy.
